I've *finally* gotten all the bluetooth items I want to pair with the Fire paired.
It's been a bit of a pain. I had to google some things to get things working. At first I couldn't get anything but my phone to pair. Then I found out how to remove old pairings and that helped. Especially since both Fay and I have the same model of bletooth speakers (they were on clearance at Winco for $5 each).
So "BT SPEAKER" was the next pairing that worked. Then (after way too mant tries) I got the old Verizon ear thingy to pair up.
Couldn't get my Logitech H800 headset to pair up.
Also noticed that I keep gettng two devices that show up. One is Mike 709, th other is Mon 2329 or some such.I'm fairly certain that the can't be from the apartment under me as the lady there is not at all good with texh.
It's not very likely that it's the apartment on one side of me because I suspect a similar level on "non-tech" from that person. Fay & Amy are the apartment below that one, and Fay didn't recognize them.
So that pretty much leaves the apartment on the other side. she might have something. Though I'm kinda surprised that the Mon one seems to be on 24/7.
Oh well.
Today I finally entered the right search terms to find instructions on how to set the H800 up for pairing. It's not in the setup directions.
Yeah, it's nice to have the first setup be able to skip several steps. But not having the info on how to make additional pairins there is rather short sighted. But noe that too is paired.
I'll be getting a nice bluetooth keyboard for the Kindle in the next day or two. Already paid for it, just have to go to the store to pick it up. Pity it's larger than the kindle, but it's not a standard size one either. And it's got a "slot" to stand the Kindle up in.
